The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large range of clients/beneficiaries website to access SASSA services.
“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company point produced for intervention encounters a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
